OUR CAPTAIN
Captain Ross Eichorn has been fishing locally in Terrebonne parish since he was a young boy.
Ross was born and raised in Terrebonne Parrish in the charter fishing industry by his family. His father, grandfather, and uncles were all charter fisherman. Ross started out working in 1989 whenever he was off of school as a deckhand on his family's boats. In 1995, he went to captains' school and received his 100-ton masters U.S. Coast Guard Captains license. In 2007 he went into business for himself. He is very knowledgeable of the inshore and offshore waters of Terrebonne Parish.
Captain Ross'passion has always been being on the water fishing. His passion has always been being on the water fishing. He enjoys taking out his charters, whether they are children or experienced fisherman, and “putting them on the fish.” Our business is a family-oriented business. We strive to make your fishing adventure as memorable and enjoyable as possible. ABOUT THE BOAT
Our fishing boat is a 28-foot Pure Hybrid Bay boat from Bluewave boats. It is powered by a 300 HP Yamaha outboard and is outfitted with the latest Simrad touch screen electronics. In our eyes, our boat is the ultimate boat there is, and it gives us the availability to fish the shallow marshes to the near coast oil platforms with no issues. We push ourselves to make sure you have the most comfortable and memorable fishing trip possible.
OUR TRIPS
Lil Ross Charters is located at the Coco Marina in Cocodrie, Louisiana. Depending on the season, there are different types of fish to catch! Fishing for Speckled Trout, Reds, and Bull Reds is ideal almost any time of the year. Tarpon, are only fished for in August and September out of Venice Louisiana.
Captain Ross has fished this area for over 30 years and knows where and how to catch these fish. Our boat can accommodate up to 4 passengers, and it comes completely rigged for fishing as well as comfort. Upon your arrival, expect an on time, professional and fun fishing trip.
Our fishing trips includes all fuel, ice , bait, fish cleaning, as well as fishing tackle. The only things you need to bring are your drinks and snacks for during the day while we are fishing. You will also need to bring an ice chest so you can bring your cleaned fish home with you.
You are responsible for securing you and your party a Louisiana fishing license. They can be purchased through the Louisiana department of wildlife and fisheries website prior to your fishing trip. You are able to purchase a 3 - day saltwater fishing license for $20.00, anyone under the age of 18 does not need a license.
We can accommodate fishing trips from one person to groups as large as 30 people. We have lodging available to us through coco marina for our fishing groups. There is a restaurant and bar, as well as a swimming pool, on the property available to your group.
